INSTRUCTIONS:

1)    Choose Partner:  One of you must be willing to walk the catwalk in costume

2)    Design an outfit (une tenue)

3) Write a dialogue, that describes the model (mannequin) and the outfit (la tenue) that they are modelling as they are walking the catwalk. The dialogue must introduce the model (Minimum 5 sentences) Then you must describe minimum 5 items of clothing, including style, brand and colour.

ASSESSMENT:

1:  La tenue – 5 points (originality, effort)

2:  Dialogue – Written – 10 points
-      150 words approx.
-      Good grammar, all French
-     Use vocabulary from the Chapter and extra Fashion vocab.

3:  Présentation – 10 points
-      Catwalk flair – moves
-      Dialogue matches – movements/gestures
-      Dialogue is well pronounced and loud enough

4: Music Selection – Bonus – Appropriate French song on mp3

Description:

In this activity you are going to attempt to learn French using an online learning tool called DuoLingo.com.
Througout the course we will use this program to sharpen our skills and improve our vocabulary and writing. You will require headsets or earbuds to use this program.



Instructions:

1) Visit www.duolingo.com and create an account for the FRENCH language.

2) Make sure to document your username and password in a safe and organized place as we've talked about before.

3) Duolingo.com has a point structure organized like an RPG (Role Playing Game) and you attempt to master as many skills as possible. Explore the program.

4) Attempt the 1st skill: BASICS - When you have mastered it, let Mr. Mark know so he can record your score.

5) Add www.duolingo.com to your resources section - As a link or as a button.

6) Once you've completed Basics 1 - You can complete Basics 2 or Phrases. Record your marks with Mr Mark once you have finished those skills.

Assessment:
Each Skill will be worth 4 marks - Once you have completed a skill record your marks with Mr. Mark.
 
Research minimum 3 different methods on how to write French accents and post it to your resources and links section of your website.

Your descriptions need to be clear and include screen shots and full detailed explanations.

ASSESSMENT

- Each method will be evaluated out of 5 for a total of 15 marks
- Each method must be clearly outlined, information must be accurate and excellent descriptions may include helpful pictures and screen shots.
